Building, writing and managing Celebrity Magazine, a New Zealand entertainment site

Infinity Linkers is currently working on Celebrity Magazine, a New Zealand home for celebrity, entertainment and lifestyle stories. The agency designed and built the site, runs its SEO and page speed, and manages it day to day. Kiri Walker from this team is the site’s writer and editor, and every article carries her byline on the publisher’s own domain.

The engagement

A celebrity site that answers the question and stays on the record

Celebrity biography pages are one of the most searched and least trusted corners of the web. The typical page copies a table of heights, zodiac signs and net worth guesses from another site that copied it from somewhere else, and nobody can say where any of it came from. Readers notice, and so do search engines that now weigh who they can trust.

Celebrity Magazine is built the other way round. It is a New Zealand publication first, covering local presenters, performers and sports figures alongside wider entertainment, lifestyle, health, business, tech and travel sections. Each profile is written around the questions people actually search, backed by a list of named sources, and anything that is not publicly on record is left out rather than guessed.

Infinity Linkers took the site from a design file to a live publication and continues to manage it. Kiri Walker, who writes celebrity and entertainment content from Wellington, is its writer and editor, and the site’s author page names her as the person behind the articles. The site footer and author page both state that it is managed by Infinity Linkers.

Scope

What the work actually involves

Design and build

A bold magazine design turned into a live WordPress site: header and navigation, a trending ticker, a home page of category sections, category and search templates, article and author layouts, and a footer, all tested on phone, tablet and desktop, including iPhone Safari.

On-page and technical SEO

Search titles, meta descriptions and canonicals on every page, one main heading per page, structured data for the author, a clean sitemap and robots file, a category structure of seven sections and their sub-topics, and internal links between related profiles.

Page speed optimisation

No render-blocking files on the home page, responsive image sizes so phones download small files, fonts that never hold up the first paint, scripts loaded only on the pages that need them, and a preloaded lead image.

Celebrity profiles

Researched profiles of New Zealand public figures, each reviewed before publishing, categorised, given descriptive image alt text, linked to related profiles, and closed with its sources and a disclaimer with a corrections address.

Trust pages and contact

About, Contact, Write for Us, Editorial Policy, Privacy Policy, Terms and Disclaimer pages, plus a contact form that routes each enquiry by topic: editorial, corrections, contributions or advertising.

Not in scope

This page does not claim traffic or rankings for the site. It launched in September 2026, which is too early for anyone honest to be taking credit for a position.

Who is doing the work

Kiri Walker, Writer and Editor

Kiri is a Celebrity and Entertainment Content Writer at Infinity Linkers, based in Wellington, New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication and has more than five years of writing behind her, three of them with this team. On Celebrity Magazine she is the named writer and editor, so the byline and the accountability belong to the same person.

On a celebrity site that matters more than it sounds. A profile with an identifiable local writer, a public author page and a route for corrections reads very differently from an anonymous page of copied facts, to readers and to search engines alike.

Corrections to a published profile, such as a date that has changed or a fact that needs a source, can be sent to editor@celebritymagazine.nz.

Standards on this project

The rules the profiles are held to

On record, or not stated at all. Heights, weights, zodiac signs, religion or orientation are only included when the person has made them public. Rows that would only say “unknown” or repeat an estimate are removed rather than filled in.

Sources are shown, and corrections have a route. Every profile lists its references and ends with a disclaimer that gives readers an address for corrections.

Images say what they show. Alt text describes the picture itself rather than repeating the headline, and a graphic is never described as a photo of someone it does not show.

Speed is measured, not assumed. In September 2026 the home page’s mobile PageSpeed Insights score went from 89 to 97, with the Speed Index dropping from 4.7 to 2.1 seconds and no layout shift. Desktop scores 99. Both figures were measured before and after the work.

Where it stands

Live, and Infinity Linkers is still working on it

The engagement is open and continuing. The site, its templates, its trust pages and its SEO foundations are in place, and new profiles are being added on a rolling basis. Each one is reviewed against the same standards before it goes live, and published profiles are revisited when the facts change.

We are not publishing traffic or ranking figures for this project. What can be shown is the work itself: the site, the profiles and the writer behind them, which is why this page links to them directly.

Status: active. Figures on this page reflect published work as of September 2026 and are updated as the engagement continues.
